Tablet Prices

HP decided to go 'all-in' into the tablet market through their expensive acquisition of Palm - one of the pioneers in personal digital assistants during the late 90s. HP then launched the HP Touchpad as their first product which ran off Palm's WebOS operating system. However, sales of the touchpad didn't match their estimates and the product was then discontinued with HP going 'all-out' of the tablet market. It recently release the WebOS software to the open source community.
